What do you need to give me a quote?
Whatever you have. Architectural drawings, a scope, sketches or photos are all fine, even if they are incomplete. Our engineers review every submission and reply with a scope and fee.
Do you stamp drawings for permit?
Yes. Ottawa HVAC Designs holds a Certificate of Authorization (100676371) from Professional Engineers Ontario. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings are prepared and stamped by licensed Professional Engineers.
Can one firm handle mechanical, electrical and plumbing?
Yes. One team designs and coordinates all three disciplines, so you have one point of contact and one set of coordinated drawings.
Do you work on existing buildings?
Yes. For renovations, upgrades and problem buildings we start with a site investigation and a report on the existing systems, then design the fix and prepare the permit drawings.
Do you provide construction support?
Yes. We attend site meetings, review shop drawings, respond to permit comments and provide final sign-off.
Where do you work?
Anywhere in Ontario. We are based in Ottawa, and because most design work does not need a site visit, we take on projects across the province. Projects that need site visits are focused on Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.
